Human connection is at the heart
of my work.

My 20-year career in the tech industry was built on a single mission: connecting the world. I built and led teams at Google, Slack, and Salesforce, co-founded Future Forum — a research consortium studying the future of work — and wrote the bestselling book How the Future Works.

But as my career progressed, I noticed that we were more connected, yet lonelier, than ever.

The future of work isn't just about technology. It's about the people who make work meaningful, joyful, and — dare I say it — fun! The moments of connection are what define our experience.

Today, I write and speak on how we can build lives that prioritize human connection — starting with rebuilding fundamentals like time generosity, hospitality, and wisdom.
